Appointments

On the day

Contact us by phone on 01788 578800. Our phone lines are available Monday to Friday, 8.00am-6.30pm.

Urgent cases are seen on the day. If your condition is non-urgent, you can expect to see a GP within two working days, though you may have to wait longer if you want to see a particular GP.

One of the Doctors is always available “on-call” for urgent advice and consultations. It would be appreciated if calls were only made for urgent problems when they cannot wait until the next surgery. The Doctor may have to call you back and your details will be taken by the receptionist.  Please ensure you give the telephone number on which you can be contacted.

Pre bookable appointments

Request a routine appointment online using our Online Form. We aim to respond on the same day between 8.00am-6.00pm.

Alternatively please contact the surgery by phone on 01788 578800. Our phone lines are available Monday to Friday, 8.00am-6.30pm.

If you don’t need an appointment within two working days, you have the option to book up to 2 weeks in advance if this is more convenient for you.

Our receptionists are usually the first point of contact and are here to help you. They have a lot of information to hand and in most cases will be able to help with your enquiry, ensuring you see the most appropriate clinician. Nonetheless, it is your right to request to talk only to the doctor. Anything that is discussed with the receptionists or any other member of the team is treated in strict confidence.

You have a right to be treated courteously, and our receptionists also have a right to be treated courteously by you. Please respect the privacy of other patients by standing well back from the reception desk until your turn.

Nurse appointments

Nurses based in our practice treat patients for a wide range of common conditions.

You can expect to see a nurse within one working day and all of them are qualified to prescribe from a range of medicines. You can book up to a month ahead for clinics – please see the ‘services and clinics’ section.

Home visits

Whilst we encourage our patients to come to the surgery, where we have the proper equipment and facilities available, we do appreciate this is not always possible. In this respect, if you do need a home visit, you can help us by calling reception on 01788 578800 before 10:00am. This service is not available at weekends.

You may only request a home visit if you are housebound or are too ill to visit the Practice. You may be visited by a GP or a Practice Paramedic. Please ensure we have up-to-date information about how to access the property.

Cancelling or changing an appointment

Contact the surgery on 01788 578800 between 8.00am-6.30pm if you need to reschedule appointment.

Cancel your appointment using our Online Triage Form

Appointments can also be cancelled via text message when you receive your appointment reminder.

Please try to cancel appointments in advance where possible so the appointment can be reallocated.
